Weclome to the Points North GIS & UAV blog about GIS, UAVs (Drones) and other experiences I have had with related software and working in the industry. If you would like to checkout my portfolio take a look at the Points North GIS website.
My goal with this blog is to explore various software and programming libraries that I have found useful throughout my career. I hope to help readers discover new ways to approach their projects, expose them to some open source solutions that can help to cut costs or possibly add to developer communities. I will also share some tips and tricks I have found using some of the more popular software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, Pix4D, Leaflet, MapServer plus many others.
I encourage readers to send me feedback or questions through my online form on the main website. If there is an area of interest that you would like me to write about or if you have contributions for let me know as well! I soon be adding a comments section to each article to make it easier to contribute feedback, but for know please use the form.
